ImageText Pro ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect limited information to provide and improve our Service:

2.1. Images and Extracted Text

We collect and store the images you upload for text extraction and the extracted text to provide the Service. These are stored temporarily and associated with your IP address to enforce the daily extraction limit.

2.2. Usage Data

We automatically collect your IP address to enforce the daily extraction limit that applies to your plan. We may also collect anonymized usage data, such as browser type and pages visited, to improve the Service.

2.3. Country of Origin (IP-based geolocation)

Each time you extract text from a file, we determine the country the upload came from by looking up your IP address, and store that country alongside the extraction record. This applies to both registered users and guests who use the extraction feature without an account.

What we store: the two-letter country code and country name only (for example, "IN – India"). We do not collect or store city, region, postal code, GPS coordinates or any other precise location data, and we do not attempt to identify you from it.

Why we collect it: to understand which countries the Service is used from, to plan capacity and language support, and to help detect abuse and automated misuse of the free extraction quota.

Who we share it with: to perform the lookup, your IP address is sent to one third-party IP geolocation service, selected from a pool of free public providers. Those providers currently include ip-api.com, ipapi.co, ipwho.is, geojs.io, freeipapi.com, ip.guide, ipwhois.app, reallyfreegeoip.org, country.is, db-ip.com, seeip.org, geoiplookup.io and ipapi.is. Only your IP address is sent — never your images, your extracted text, your email address or any other account information. Each provider processes that request under its own privacy policy. If no provider responds, no country is recorded and the extraction proceeds normally.

2.4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and ensure the Service functions correctly. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this may affect your ability to use the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Enforce the daily extraction limit and the per-upload file limit for your plan
  • Record the country an extraction was made from, as described in section 2.3
  • Improve the Service and analyze usage trends
  • Respond to inquiries submitted via the contact form

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following situations:

4.1. With Service Providers

We share your images with Google Cloud Vision API for text extraction, and store uploaded files with our cloud storage provider (Amazon S3). We send your IP address — and nothing else — to a third-party IP geolocation service to determine your country, as described in section 2.3. We may also use third-party hosting and analytics providers, who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.

4.2. For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

5. Data Security

We implement technical measures to protect your information. However, no internet transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You may contact us to inquire about the data we have collected from your IP address or contact form submissions. We will respond to requests in accordance with applicable laws.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy and will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date. Please review periodically.
